Powers Market: Our annual fall tradition

We just love this time of year! Time to go over to Powers Farm Market, check out the pumpkins, apples, baked goods, and flowers. The donuts are awesome, and the pies are tough to resist.

The tall teepees house tons of jack-o-lanterns and are always fun to look at and draw inspiration from. Greg took several pics of different pumpkins so that we could try to re-create our own here at home.

Our favorite thing to do there is go on the short, but really haunted and super-fun hay ride. This year, since it was an incredibly gorgeous day, they had three tractors running to take families on the hayrides. The boys LOVED it!!! They were not afraid at all (of course, in broad daylight everything is pretty tame...) and wanted take home all the zombies, skeletons, witches, bats, and gravediggers from the orchard.

They did a great job helping us select the perfect pumpkins to bring home and carve into spooky jack-o-lanterns.

What a great day!

I think it's so cute how Joey mimics everything Christopher does. These two little guys bring a smile to my face every single day!

Lately, this is Joey's favorite word and phrase. That, along with "Baby GAGA".

He says "trouble" to anything that seems to be scary, weird, different, strange. If he doesn't like you, you're "trouble". If he thinks something is scary or ugly, he points to it and says "that's trouble!!!" He defines what is trouble and what is not. For example, if I try to join in by labeling something as trouble, he corrects me.

He also loves to say Baby GAGA. He calls himself "Baby GAGA". First thing he says when he wakes up in the morning? Baby GAGA.

Cute if you ask me.

Spooky Decor

Christopher is soooo into Halloween,he's got me crossing a line I always said I never would.... and that is cheezy decorations all around the inside AND outside of the house.

Here he is, helping Greg put the big spiderweb up. We added a few bats yesterday and I'm sure today's adventures will lead to a store where we can find more junk.

Stay tuned, or perhaps, stay tomed...
